It's show time

So as promised 07-07-07 is my lucky day. Why? You ask? Because thats my wedding day!!!!! yep yep yep. Im getting married!!! Rob proposed!!! eheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so super excited. It was the cutest thing. We went out to dinner for the first time since his accident and while we were sitting there he said " would you marry me?" and I said "shut up" thinking he was kidding like always. He asked me again and again I was like "come on baby stop". Not thinking anything about it afterward we went back home. Rob was acting kinda funny and he went into the bedroom with the dog. They came back out 5 minutes later. Rob told Dakota " go see mommy boo " Dakota came over to me with a bow around his neck and my ring was attached to it. Rob came over and got down on his one good knee and said again " I love you, will you marry me? " I was like ahhhhhhhh so of course I said yes. My ring is gorgeous. It is exactly what i envisioned it to be A 3-stone round cut diamond on 18K white gold band. I love it. I've been trying to take a picture of it to show on our new website, but Im having a difficult time. I will try again later though. Im soooooooooooooooo excited. hehe I became a big dork right off the bat. I bought a shirt off of Zazzle.com. It's a pink and white baseball shirt that says Future Mrs. Iwanaga. hhahaha cute cute cute. I absolutely love it. hehe

We just got engaged and hehe haven't told my parents yet, so no plans are in effect. But all in good time. Even though Rob asked for my dad's permission, we wanted to tell my parents in person, so we are going up to the Poconos for labor day.

Sooooooooooo many things have happened since I last updated. Rob got into a motorcycle accident on July 8th. Our life since then has not been the same. He is missing about 6 inches of his femur on his right leg and his knee-cap is completely gone. The doctors put a titanium rod and screws in there to hold his leg together. So far he can bend the leg about 50` so we are getting better. He can't put any weight on it at all for at least 6 months so he's been milking it for all its worth. The 2nd extensive injury is to his right arm. He has a brachial plexus injury of the C6 & C7 avulsion. Which basically means his C6 & C7 nerve roots are disconnected in the neck. He has no movement in his arm at all. So now its just a wait-and-see game. Hopefully he will get some movement back in it. He was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Finally came home via ambulance on July 28th. Since then, its been dr's visits and filling prescriptions. I thank god every day that he's alive and still able to be Rob. I dont know what I would've done if the outcome had been different.

So we are staying in our apartment for another year. With Rob being hurt, I dont feel like moving all our stuff by myself and there's really no point to moving. Our place is fine for now. Big enough and the neighbors are okay. I just dont want to move again until we get our house. So looks like Im going to be staying in the NE for a while.
I need to take Dakota to the vet on saturday. He needs to get microchipped and I think he has an ear infection. His ear is all red on the inside. All more then his other ear. My poor boo.

7/7/7 is my lucky day. More to come on that later.........

So Lauren Elizabeth Doyle was born on June 20th. Yay!!!! New addition to Rob and my extended family. She's a week late but perfect none-the-less. Jill's doing well also. Cant wait to see them today.

Its so weird that friends are having/or had babies. Its still so strange to me that we are at an age where marriage & babies are becoming into the picture. oy! Sometimes I feel like Im behind. haha. So happy for them though. Guess I'll just be Aunt Joanne for a while haha. Hehe the way Im going I could potentially be a great-aunt before Im a mom haha cuz Alex and Tyler are already 12 and Stephies 10. Oy!!

Works going good. Ive been extremely busy lately with alot of different project starting and needing to be finished at the same time. Been here from 7-6 for the last 2 weeks! But I guess it will be worth it when my paycheck comes. Oy getting paid once a month totally sucks.

My moms going to see my sis in Texas on Monday so Im going back to the valley for a couple days to chill with my gram, then Jerry's coming up for the remainder. I kinda wanna go to the def leopard/journey concert so maybe I'll catch them at Montage on friday. hmmmmmmm. decisions decisions.

I got to put out a fire today. hehe We had fire extinguisher training outside for work. Its good to know when you work around flammable liquids how an extinguisher works. hehe at least it took an hr out of my day to do something outside. BTW its awesome out. Not to hot but not cold. perfect spring almost summer weather hehe.

Works going good. Been really busy lately with everything. Alot of projects have fallen on me and Im excited to do them. The more projects we have the most stuff I learn how to do. Always increasing my portfolio of knowledge hehe.

So Ive rejoined Bally's today. Ive been trying to stay away from the "norm" gyms because I feel very self-conscience around the people that frequent gyms, but its something I told myself I'd just have to get over. Its nice cuz there's one right by my house on the boulevard so I dont have to go far. I wish they opened at 5 though. 6 is kinda pushing it when I usually leave for work at 7. hmm. Maybe I can push back leaving for work till 730 then I can get a 1/2 workout in, in the mornings before showering/getting ready for work. hmmm thought......

okay so Ive decided Im getting married. May 15,2010 haha I know 4 years away but the more I think about it, the better that date sounds in my head. Rob said he wanted to wait until he was 30 to get married and I want to wait until I feel better about myself, so I figure this is a good date. I really dont want to and am not going to be a big girl bride so Im working hard to make my body look the way I want it to. Wish me luck. Its very difficult for people like me to do this naturally. Alot of my friends that go to the gym are relatively lean girls to begin with, so its more about toning their bodies than reshaping. but for me, its a totally different battle. I have to teach my body how to do things differently. So far I think its going okay. Just wish the results would come faster. Like push a button and magically you're at your goal weight. hmm that would be nice. I guess the biggest incentive I have is that my boyfriend weighs right around 145 lbs. yea I know small guy. But everyone in his family is tiny. I think its due to the Japanese half.

Our friends are due today. We are going out to dinner tonight with Pat and Jill. Hopefully we can get through dinner without water breaking hehe. They've been walking on egg shells for the last week wondering when the baby is coming. So Im guessing within the next couple days, Rob and I will be taking a trip to the hospital to see our newest friend.

Ups its 1 time for lunch. Its funny how when you get a job its like being in elementary school again. specific time for lunch and work hhahahahaha oh well latas

Today is my brother and sisters birthday. Nope not twins. My oldest sibling and my youngest are born on the same day 12 yrs apart. Diane turns 32 and Jerry is 20. This is also cool cuz since its a 12 yr gap the chinese calendar came full circle and they are both Tigers. Supposed to be good luck for my family. hehe. Happy birthday guys. Love you.

Nothing new has happened lately. Just working alot and chilling with Rob and our babies. I think Dakota's sick cuz he has runny poops and his ears are folded back alot. My poor baby. :( Although I think its just the soap passing through his system. Rob was washing the bike on Monday and Dakota was licking the soap/water off the ground. Just a little, but I think it was plenty.

Springs here. Yay!! I love springtime. 2 baby geese were born right outside my work building. So cute!!!!! They are yellow/brown and too adorable. I see them every morning as Im coming into work. hehe Everythings fresh and new. its a new beginning and so pretty. Every night when I take Dakota for a walk the air is filled with the flowers from the neighbors yard. Ah love it!! Cut grass smell is great. Our downstairs neighbor lets us use his grill so we had a bbq on Monday. yummy. I love veggies cooked on the grill. mmmmm. hehe

I cant believe a yr went by so fast. Come may 19th I will be an official college alumni. I dont believe you can actually claim alumni status until you've been out for more than a year. So May 19th is my 1 yr graduation anniversary. I think the year right after graduation is still a growing period. you're learning how to adjust in the "real world" or learning to adjust to a new school environment. Either way you cant really grasp all that has happened. I think now you can. Its so weird to me that I have a 401K and my own health insurance. totally weird thinking of yourself as a grown-up when all you have known was school-life. I love it though.

Rob and I are doing good as always. Still happy being a double-income, no kids couple. hehe Its nice having someone to talk about your day with. I like having someone to come home too. Hopefully if we keep saving it will be our very own home Im coming back to soon. hehe

I hope everyone had a great easter. Mine was good. Didnt really do anything exciting. Cleaned the house a lil then went to the in-laws for dinner. Robs mom made a pork roast, but since Sophy's boyfriend Matt or I dont eat pork she also made a vegetarian lasagna. and for once YUMMY!!! It was really good. usually im turned off by her cooking cuz it but the lasagna was great. I even brought some for lunch today. mmmmmmm. Well now she wants to start having a once a month dinner with us. I guess I can bare it. She didnt say anything mean yesterday so I dont really mind and I like having family down here. Once a month that we get a meal and I dont have to cook it? Fine by me hehe

Everythings going well. Robs good. Dakota and Molly are good, families good, jobs going well. Im up for a promotion and I had my interview with the main boss about it. So finger-crossed. If I get it its an additional 5000 a yr. Which is fine by me. The money is nice, but Im liking the status better. hehe I get to change my business card from Research Assistant/Scientist I to Strictly scientist I hehe yay!!!

Family news!!!! Im going to be an aunt again!!!!!! My brother and sister-in-law are due in December. YAY!!!!! Its been 10 yrs since a baby's been in my immediate family since Stephy, my neice, turns 10 this year. Im uber excited. Everyone's glowing. My mom is so excited she loves being a gramma. haha

Hey my faithful Lj'ers hehe. I hope all is well in your worlds.
Mines going okay. Ive been working alot as per usual and Rob and I couldnt be better. I took my chem test on the first. I think I did fairly decent. There were only 3 other people taking it with me, which I thought was kinda wierd, but anyways yeah so fun taking a 3 hr chem test. hehe but thats the major I picked and my chosen career and I love it!!!! Im taking the reg gre at the end of may so hopefully I'll do okay on them as well. I signed up for 2 classes at Temple for the fall. Physical Methods of Organic Chem and Quantum Chemistry. Im take classes first at Temple as a non-matric 1. because the deadline for applications for fall has already passed. 2. I want to make sure I like working during the day/ school at night senario I forsee as my future for the next 2 1/2 yrs and 3. they have the cheapest tuition around. So I will take my 2 classes from them and then transfer when I "officially" get accepted into drexels program. Ive been unofficially accepted because I havent taken the gre's let so after I take them and basically just not fail, Ill be in their program. YAY!!! I excited. by the time I finish I'll have almost 5 yrs work experience with my MS in Chem which makes me a senior scientist II and thats very good bank, with 9-5 hrs. yay!!!!
Robs just excited that Im going back to school. He loves it when Im in school. Guess he gets to brag or something hehe.

Been going to the gym like crazy trying to get healthy. Im starting to feel better about myself so I guess its paying off, but so far not really any drastic changes. I did lose almost 25 lbs since new years though!!!! Very big insentive is when your boyfriend weighs 145. hehe and that we keep talking about our wedding and kids and such so I think a proposal might be in our future. Im guessing within the next 2 years. So I really dont want to look at
my wedding pictures and hate everyone of them. So Im becoming a gym nazi. hehe

Dakota is adjusting well to our home. He seems to have the run of the place like Molly hehe. The only problem with our newest baby, is that he tends to attack other dogs. He's a very "one dog only" type dog and he doesnt like any other dog come anywhere near us. So taking him for walks is sometimes difficult since we wants to run to where ever a barking dog is. We bought him a different leash though, so he is learning to walk with us instead of pulling. Im loving it though. Never thought we'd get a dog until we got our house, but I guess Robs just full of surprises.

As for our house, we've been saving as much as we can for our downpayment, we just have to decide where we want to settle down. So for now, we are still gonna rent probably still up in the NE, just because its convenient and cheap.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was in Philly at the end of March and it was near my apartment. So of course I was there with my sign cheering on the construction crews after work. hehe maybe my dumbass gets a cameo shot on tv. hahahaha Id laugh. The house is gorgeous though, but definately looks outta place in the neighborhood. Id be worried about robbers if I was the Py family. You can pick their house out 3 blocks away!! Congrats to them though. Im so jealous of their new house hehe ( one day Ill have my dream house hehe)

today is my 23rd birthday. Weird!! I feel so old. But my mom said I was born on a friday so I guess I came full circle today hehe.

WE got a DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my presents for my birthday from my Robbie was a dog. We went to the SPCA and picked him out. We named him Dakota. I am totally in love with our son. hehe Molly has a little brother. She totally wigged out though and attacked him. hahah he just stood there and looked at her. Totally classic. Hes a collie/terrier mix and about medium size. I absolutely love him. We went to Monster Pets and bought a leash,brush,bowls and bones for him and Im going to stop at Petco and walmart on my way home to get him a doggie gate and some toys. YAY!!!!! The only downside about having a dog is we have to pay a $400 non-refundable dog fee to the landlord and $25 pet rent, but its not that bad considering we paid $75 for him and that comes with shots and vet check ups for 2 yrs!!!!

I really dont want to be at work today. I just want to go home and relax. It is after all my birthday. I have to do laundry though. hehe I was thinking of putting it off until tomorrow, but it needs to be done. So oh well as robs says "just another day". Well, maybe I dont believe that entirely cuz today is MY day and Im gonna do what I want. hahhahaha

Im so uberly excited about AC tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive never been there and Im thinking its gonna be good times! Mrs. I is comes to dog-sit. She was excited when we told her she has a grandson haha. Hopefully Molly and Dakota will get along better. I think she just needs to get to know him a lil. But Molly can be a bitch and a diva so I guess we'll see. last night rob was holding her and she attacked him. Her claw went right through his ear. It was really gross. After that Rob got extremely angry and clipped her nails.

Now Im just trying to juggle work and raising 2 kids. hahaha
oh and does anybody have suggestions as to where I should go in AC certain pizza shops or cool souvenir places? If so hit me up with the 411.

Oh my french is getting worse. and you would think with working with 80% french people it would be getting better. Hmmm, maybe I should take a re-fresher course at PCC or something. I dunno.
Things have been good. Just working alot and being with Rob. Thats basically my day in a nutshell. Getting ready for the GRE chem test in April. **fingers crossed**. Its funny. The only reason Im taking them is cuz my company will also pay for my books/supplies if I do well. so +++++++ So why not? take one test, do well and for the next 3 yrs get all my books and supplies paid for. Key!! I have to go to school part time though so its gonna take longer, but I think I like it this way. Work = money and going to school will = more money so its basically a win/win situation. For the moment, Ive decided Med School is not for me. you have to have 150% of yourself behind it and doubts will only cause trouble. For me, I dont have that drive anymore. I would love to be a doctor, but its not the end of the world if Im not a medical one. Life takes you down different paths and for now I think Im on the right one. but Im only 22 so god only knows whats in store for me.
Today is Mardi Gras and Im not sure what I want to do for lent as of now. I have a few ideas in mind but they are all the clique ones and I wanna do something different. Giving up a vice just for lent, to me is stupid. If you know you're doing something bad why not just give it up completely? Ah I guess will power keeps people from doing that.Just a thought though. I dunno. I think Im going out tonight to celebrate the festivities. however, not quite sure of that yet since I do have to work tomorrow and I really hate spending money.
I figure the more money I save now, the less I will have to pay back to the bank when we find our house. Ive been looking online just to price houses in this area( Philly and suburbs) and its right around where I thought we would have to pay. For just a few hundred more a month, we could live in a 3 br house with a backyard and garage that we would own!! love it. At least when you pay the morgage its going towards something not just the black hole that rent money falls in. Not like we will buy anytime soon, but its good to get figures first.

did everyone get their w2's? Cuz Im still waiting for mine from the Ritz. I can file my taxes until I receive them. Grrrr!!! I thought we were supposed to get them by Feb 15th? Whats going on?

Ah yay winter has finally arrived. It's about time!!!! I love the snow and the snow in Philly is grand, when the plows dont kill it. hehe It took the maintanence people 6 hrs to plow/shovel/snowblow our sidewalks/driveways/steps. It was fun watching them do it. hahahahhahaha Rob decided he was being a goober and stayed inside almost all day. While I wanted to play in the snow hehe but stupid fat flaky snow Grrrrr. not good for makin a snowman, so I came back in after 3 failed attempts. hehe
It was nice though, Rob and I just hung out in our apartment watching movies. good times.

I really need to go grocery shopping. We barely have anything besides condiments in our fridge. Ive been putting it off, and now I cant anymore. Oy! How I hate to grocery shop here. Too many old people and just plain rude people standing in the middle of the hallways,blocking everything and not even using common courtesy when passing. Grrrrrrrrr I hate that. Oh well, needs to be done.

So tomorrow is valentine's day. Just another day for us. We really aren't into celebrating this day. Rob says its cuz you should show love for someone everyday and this is a "hallmark" holiday. Which is the typical guy comment, but its okay with me. He did buy me my ring I wanted. Nope not "the" ring, a birthstone ring. I guess its kinda like a promise ring, cuz it has both rob's and my birthstones on it. Very nice. I love it. Its being custom made so its going to take a few weeks to get here. But I cant wait!!!! Hopefully it'll be here by my birthday.

Nothin really excitings been happening. Just same old stuff. Work and chill with Rob. I would like to start hanging out with my girls more though. I just dont like spending money. hehe When I didnt have it, I couldnt spend it. Now that I do, I dont want to. hahahaha vicious cycle.

things have been pretty good lately. Ive been sticking with my exercise regime and I am starting to feel better about myself so thats a plus. This past weekend I chilled out with my girls. Good times. I miss them alot and its nice to get together. I think we are going to start a once-a-month "girls night" so that way we can keep in touch better. totally shibby.

at work,everythign is going good. my boss's are at a conference until friday!!! yay! No sr. scientist all week. I love it. I get 100000x's more work done when they arent here. I think its because they always interrupt me when Im doing something, to do something totally different. So I get pulled in like 5 directions and I start projects and have a very hard time finishing. I wish that I could just start/stop one before I started the next. GRrrr

Valentine's day is coming and Rob and I are going to Morton's Steakhouse on Saturday. Its his favorite restaurant and I wanted to do something nice for him. Im not really sure what we are doing for the actual 14th, but Im sure it'll be fun.

I left work early yesterday because I was finished with my work and didnt feel like just sitting here doing nothing. So Rob( cuz he has off on mondays) and I just laid around watching tv and fighting over the remote of course. hehe What couple doesnt???? I love it.

still get jealous when his ex leaves him myspace messages, but he assures me I have nothing to worry about. I just think its weird that you would send your ex " sending some love your way" when you broke up 6 years ago. Weird. I dont get it. So what to do??????

So this weekend was really fun. On Friday night Rob and I went bowling. hehehe I havent been bowling in forever and I was in the mood to do something different. We went to Thunderbird lanes on Holme & Willits. Like 2 minutes from our house. Rob won, but I didnt do that bad. I got a 90 and a 95. Pretty good I think. I was averaging about 8-9 pins each time I tried which is totally different from my usual gutterball shananagans.hehe. I think next time we'll go on a weekday when its cheaper and less crowded. 450/person/game. plus 4/person for shoes. oy! Thank god we have good jobs. Dates are expensive.

On Saturday, Rob went to work and I attempted to study but got distract by the csi marathon. hehe Amani called and I met her and Alaina at Neshaminy and we saw Memoirs of a Geisha. I like it alot. So intrigued by Japanese culture. I thought the actresses did a great job, despite all the hoop-la they are facing for being chinese portraying japanese girls. Get over it people.

Sunday rob and I lounged around the house and napped most of the day. totally awesome. Just the two of us( well, three with Molly) lying around together. There's just something about going to sleep and waking up in the arms of the one you love. Words can not describe. We watched the 40yr old virgin and rob went out around 11 to go to Filo's(a bar near south st.) I hate that I cant go out on Sundays with him. Ah stupid work on monday. grrrr.

So work today is slow. Im basically trying to procrastinate doing my foam tests, cuz they are extremely boring. At least its lunch time and I have an excuse for not doing stuff. hehe

oh so remember when I was ranting about rob's ex-girlfriend? Okay so Rob sent me this site because Ive been studying like crazy for my upcoming chemistry exams. Check it out. http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/ Apparently MIT thinks its going to educate the world so it offers past classes online for free. you can read the lecture notes,doing sample problems, even past exams. They have it for ALOT of subjects so if your nerdy like me, or just wanna know how to build a rocket( check out aeronotics page) or other neat stuff, this is the site for you. Yay I love my baby for helping me out.

Basically nothing else is new. Ive been working alot and when I get home all I wanna do is curl up on the couch with Rob. But I still do my exercises. 15 lbs down. yay!!! Hopefully it'll start showing soon. hehe Im feeling better about myself though, so I guess thats a start.

So this weekend Rob and I went up to the Poconos for my moms birthday. It was fun. We went to Damiens on the Lake and the food was great!!!! We got so much for the prices I was impressed. My dad and Rob finished off 2 bottles of wine with dinner hehehe, so I played DD. We slept over Sat into Sun and basically just lounged around all day Sunday with my parents. We played Trivial Pursuit 90s and Rob won (he finally beat me) hehe. Then we watched the football games. good times. Robs off today so lucky him. Im stuck back at work.

Its cold in here today. Im not sure if they turned off the heat, or if its just not working either way, im freezing. buuurrrrrrrrrrrrr. my boss isnt here yet so im basically wasting time before I start my reactions hahahahah i love mondays. Im usually the first one here and basically until 10 I play on the computer. YAY for getting paid to do basically nothing.

I ordered my GRE books online today so hopefully, they'll get here by the end of the week. Countdown begins: T-minus 68 days until the Chem test on April 1st. oy!!! I know the material thats going to be covered, but I need a refresher course in Ochem and the nomenclature of things. Synthesis im fine with, its the stupid names that get me. go figure. I guess its because I absolutely hate memorizing things. I rather just learn it and not have to worry about my brain not working. Maybe thats why im not a biologist, ( other than the fact they dont make any $$ at all).

I think Im going to the grocery store after work. I need to pick up a few things before dinner tonight. Mainly side items so dinner wont just be meat and potatoes hehe. I like going to the grocery store on a weekday. Its about 10000000000000000000 times less crowded than the weekend. Sometimes I wish I had mondays off just so I could shop Monday morning, when only a few old people are in the store. That would be nice.

Ah I think the heats starting to kick in YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more cold fingers. Ah I guess that means to work I go.....

okay so work is boring today. We finally got the tensiometer part and I can start running Surface Tensions again, but other than that its pretty slow. No more customer complaints to make life interesting. Boo! hehe but I guess thats a good thing. So Im going to start buying books for the chemistry test Im taking in April. I need to brush up on my pchem and organic. Yes, I use organic everyday, but some of the synthesis stuff is still confusing to me. Wheres my friend Ed when I need him? Oh yes, he's in Texas at Grad school hehe silly me.

This weekend is my moms birthday and Rob and I are going home to surprise her. Im taking her to damiens on the lake, so if anyone has been there ( aka if anyone even knows where harvey's lake is) please let me know what you think. My brother said Nina and him had a great time and the food was excellent so im hoping for the best. I really wanna do something nice for her. shes been stressing lately because of my gram. :^(

So Temple started back this week. Its sad not being in contact with a couple of my friends anymore. But I guess it goes to show you who your true friends are. If you talk to them after you graduate, you'll be friends for life I guess.

For Valentines this year, Im thinking of taking Rob to Morton's Steakhouse. He always talks about this restaurant as having the best steak on the planet, and as I dont eat steak, I wouldnt know, but Id thought Id do something nice for him this year. Despite just getting his bike, he's been feeling down lately and I just want to do something to cheer him up.

Nothing too exciting happening here. Just working alot as per usual and hanging out with Rob and friends. For once in a long time, I've been sick/disease free and Im loving it. ( KNOCK ON WOOD ) Its feel great being able to get up and actually breathe out of your nose. Yay for breathing. hehe

Jerry's 75% sure he's staying in Philly so Im super excited. I love having him here. The rest of my family is so far away, its nice having someone nearby other than Rob.

Oh a plus note I've lost 10lbs since new years. yay!!! been trying to keep a 1200 calorie/day intake and exercising. It seems to be working. Im excited. Cross your fingers it stays this way.

Happy Birthday to my brother-in-law. Who turns 36 today, I think??? Also Happy birthday to the late-great MLK Jr. Even though its a holiday I still have to work on your birthday, but I do get presidents day off so yay for that!!!
This weekend was fun. On Saturday we went and picked up Robs bike. I have to say I dont really care for motorcycles, after falling off one, but the new bike is HOT!!! Its silver and black. Very pimp. Its a 2002 Honda CBR954RR. When I find the cord for the digital camera, i'll post some pics hehe. Even though it was rainy we went to Deptford Honda and picked it up via our friend Robs giant van. Afterwards we just chilled at the house and watched movies. it was great!!!!!!!!!! Sunday Pat and Jill came over to see our house. Its always a good time with those two. Jills starting to show now and its so cute. They're due in June. We went to Gabby's house for dinner and watched the Omen. Good times. She has the tiniest dog ever. Its a black and white toy chuhuahua name Sebastien. Hes so cute. He loved Rob and fell asleep in his HAND. too funny.
All in all a good weekend. Now its back to work for another 5 days then we get to play again. This weekend its my moms birthday so we are going to the poconos to take her out. YAY for getting to see the rentals.

Okay so Ive decided that I want to go to AC for my birthday this year. Its on A friday so rob is taking me out to dinner and a show and on Sat into sun we are going to AC. Yay Ive never been there and Im excited to get to gamble.
Should be good times. So anyone out there in LJ world that wants to come just hit me up on the cellie. hehe the more the merrier!! And PLUS PLUS its ST. Patty's Day so mucho drinking will occur. hehe

Okay so as much as I love LJ, I have to admit, I am addicted to myspace.com I love it and I dont even know why. Its basically the same as LJ but for some reason I like it better. I really dont post anything on there because thats what I have LJ for, but alot of my friends from HS have myspace, so its a nice way to stay in touch with them.

So dinner at the In-laws was okay. Robs mom didnt say anything mean so that was nice and the food was actually good.( normally his mom makes food that I dont like). Sophy and Matt came over so it was basically the fam. They are both wine experts and they always bring the best tasting stuff. Which works for me, since Im still new to wine drinking and I have no idea what is good. My nose was stuffed though,so the wine tasted alot like grape juice and I drank alot. we had to stay for an extra hr so I could safely and **legally** drive home. I really dont need a DUI/DWI on my record. But allas all is well and Rob and I both got home safely.( we took different cars cuz we were coming right from work).

So for the past 2 weeks I have been running surface tension tests at work. This is a very dull process that takes all day and is only one minor thing to determine stability. Grr. I have 8 more samples to test and im getting an additional 4 MORE tomorrow. GRRRRrrrrr thats at least 3 more weeks of this testing. Ah well at least that leaves me time to surf the web for more than 30 min a day. hehe

oh another addiction of mine that has developed. Sudoku. I love this game. my brother bought me the desk calendar, and Im subscribed to a website that generates them. I love it. Its the japanese number game where there are 81 blocks and each row,column and little 3X3 square has to contain the numbers 1-9 inextensively.(right word?) well anyways no repeats. I think I like it so much because it clears my mine of all worries and I get good ideas afterwards. If you get a chance I would recommend trying it. hehe

Rob and I attended our friends,Patrick and Jill's wedding in Port Matilda,PA. ( for those that dont know its about 20min away from Penn State Main Campus) We left Saturday morning and checked into our hotel around 130. Our hotel room was a standard room hehe and it had 2 beds funny funny. we drove to the wedding for 4. It was at St. Joseph Wellness Spa. This place is in the middle of nowhere. Im talking no-cell reception, deliverance music playing in the background, middle of nowhere. Its down a 2 mile dirt road that was covered with snow. Oy! The wedding was in a little chapel they had on their grounds. It was beautiful. A string quartet played as Jill walked down the aisle. She looked so beautiful. I have good pics from this one. The reception was right afterwards in another building on the grounds, so the van came and shuttled us from one to the other. good food, good friends and their wedding dance was great. They did a German waltz in front of a fireplace while the quartet played. Totally out of a movie setting. Good times.
Then the New Yrs Party started at 9. After that its bunch of a blur just drinking and dancing with friends. I do,however, remember 2 things, taking shots with Patricks dad hehe and our kiss at midnight.(ahh)
Ive come to learn that the bartender drove our car back to the hotel and we took the drunk bus. hehe FANTASTIC WAY to ring in 2006!!!

The most interesting thing about our road trip back was our talk about our wedding. yes I said it OUR ( as in rob and I) WEDDING. Where we want it, the food, the reception, our first dance, groomsman, etc. It was very amusing to me to hear rob say "at our wedding...." Especially since we arent "officially" engaged yet. Sorry ladies, no ring yet to speak of. but I promise my LJ'rs will be the first to know!!.

Now its back at work. Boo!!! Everyone is back from vacation so its busy around here again. Not too bad though.

tonight we are having dinner at the in-laws. oy! Wish me luck.

Merry Christmas belated. hehe to all those out there that actually read these thoughts of mine. I hope everyone had a great holiday. I sure did. My last day of work was Thurs so on Friday afternoon I drove back to the poconos to spend xmas with my parents. It was nice. I went to see my gram and she looked better than I thought she would so that cheered me up. Shes getting out tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! but she has to go to John Hienz rehap center for a couple of days for more pt. So she wont be home until after the new year. But at least shes coming home!!! So on Christmas eve, we watched its a wonderful life and everyone feel asleep hehe. Then we went to Candlelite service at our church. My fav part of the holidays. Its so pretty with all the candles lite and we sing carols and hymns and the pastor tells a christmas sermon. its awesome and i love it.
I thought this year would be better since theres no kids in the house anymore so we can sleep as late as we want on christmas, but nope. My nephew Tyler, calls the house at 6AM AFTER he's done opening presents at his moms and he wants to come down. The phone woke me up and I tried to go back to sleep, but once tyler got to the house, he was WIDE awake and so was I.
He got an xbox for christmas from santa that he brought with him so we was attempting to teach me how to play crash tag team racing. hahha I totally suck at video games. Even my 11 yr old nephew kicked my ass. hehe oh well.
I drove back to philly on christmas night around 9. Traffic was great. Hardly anyone out and about. Even the boulevard was okay. thank god. Rob fell asleep at his parents so he didnt get home until midnight. So we opened our presents from one another then went to bed hehe.
He loves his eagles jersey. so yay I did good. but I think I raked in this year.
He got me 1/2 carot diamond necklace and 1/3 carot earrings. I absolutely love them. I also got a hat,glove,scarf set which i wanted and perfume. So everything i wanted I got. hehe he said he didnt realize how expensive diamonds are so this was practice before he buys my ring. yepper he said it. I guess turning 25 made him realize hes actually growing up.

So now im back at work since yesterday was techically "christmas" in my works eyes. Everyone took a vacation this week so Im the only one here from my department. Deena,in R&D but a different lab, is down the hall so I can still work in the lab which is fine by me since my boss isnt here I get get alot more done.
